Brilliant Verlaine

Aline Weber's the star of the Verlaine S/S13 lookbook. From a graphic designer on the making's perspective (take it as if it was in inverted commas) these compositions are excellent. I've really loved the way the photographes have been retouched and the role geometric shapes have acquired in them. In fact, it's interesting to see how the body copy and the logo are the main appealing elements because of the type, the inclination and the way our gaze is directed to those by the whole design. Brilliant!

Balenciaga S/S13 Campaign

Loving these cool edgy looks from Balenciaga. The great Steven Meisel is responsible of photographing Kremi Otashliyska, Sam Rollinson and Kirstin Kragh Liljegren for this lookbook belonging to the S/S13 campaign.
In relation to its composition or design, I like the idea of introducing the brand's logo this way, instead of a dull type at the bottom.

Prada | Real Fantasies Lookbook s/s 2012

If some days ago I talked about Marc Jacobs' supercreative packagings and the way he transports us to a world where fantasy and dreams are the main feature, now it's the turn for Prada.

As with every single season, the brand revealed a pair of days ago its extraordinary and anticipated Fantasy lookbook. This year's spring has not been an exception.

Phil Meech, the photographer of these gorgeous pictures, gets nostalgic of the 50s and 60s and shoots supermodels such as Lindsey Wixson, Kasia Struss, Fei Fei Sun, Ginta Lapina and Daphne Groeneveld in a very unique way. 

However, it is Jereon Koolhaas and Lok Jansenthe's artwork (the same team as the previous seasons') what pulls us into a realm of hyper reality.

Si hace unos días mencioné los packaging super creativos de Marc Jacobs y la forma en la que estos nos transportan a un mundo en el que la fantasía y los sueños son sus mayores protagonistas, ahora es el turno de Prada.

Como cada temporada, hace unos días Prada reveló su extraordinario, y a la vez  anticipado, Fantasy lookbook. La primavera de este año no ha sido una excusa para ellos.

Phil Meech, el fotógrafo de estas maravillosas fotografías, se pone nostálgico y fotografía a supermodelos de la talla de Lindsey Wixson, Kasia Struss, Fei Fei Sun, Ginta Lapina y Daphne Groeneveld de una manera única.

Aún así, es el trabajo de arte de Jereon Koolhaas y Lok Jansenthe (que ya participaron en otros Lookbooks para Prada) lo que hace que nos introduzcamos en este esfera de hiper-realismo.
